Dustymoth Just the spirit we like to hear about..Glad you will be joining us ! Your qualifying Pint will be there waiting for you on the Bar. In answer to your questions.... - BMBA Membership will not be a problem...just needs the form filling out and sending off with a cheque....form can be downloaded on here. - Sail No again not an issue but this needs to be registered with the Race Committee on your Nationals entry and again at Northampton. - Camping.- please call Northampton[there is a Tel No on here somewhere]to say you wish to camp. Importantly please make sure you have your Certificate is up to date with the Buoyancy endorsement and the Sail is likewise measured and signed.Someone could help you out with the latter at Northampton.Check the weght of the Hull as all Boats may be weighed this year. Finally is proof of the all important Insurance Cover of £3M. Thats the easy bits now get polishing the Moth ! Two weeks to go and counting down..... Roger Witts

Welcome back Dustymoth. I just wanted to second what Roger has said before and to say the number for Northampton is now on the front page of the website. If you need help with your Certificate, membership let Graham Pope or me know and we will help you out with that. As ever Ian would rather have membership and entry forms before the big day, but we aren't going to send you home! Abby

You never count the day you are at or the day it starts so...its 11 days to go ! 2 more weekends to get you and your Boat sorted.
A reduced Frampton Moth Fleet will be at Northampton....this year, seems that we will have more supporters than entrants but we will have 3 Boats entered. Mark "New Boy" Wiltshire in "ASBO" Tony Latham in "0ak Beauty" and Little Old Me in "Same Same" or "Outsider 2" With high hopes of doing well Tony has been drifting really well in a 3 race mid-week series at Frampers so replaces our light weather expert Ian Haywood who is sidelined this year but will be there chatting to everyone and anyone.Mr Enthusiastic our Ian. "New Boy"is a little race rusty but always goes well at Northampton and I intend to wear me new Wellies so watch out ! Back-up team and Frampton Groupies/Cheerleaders will include Chris Latham,Laura,Georgia and Nicky. So we are all ready and due to arrive in two convoys... The advanced scouting party on the Tuesday ... and the others on Wednesday morning. Group Hug scheduled for 10.00a.m on the Wednesday......
Looking forward to seeing you all for what I am sure will be a great Championship with good close racing and an opportunity to meet up with everyone again.

I'm pretty much all sorted for Northampton, I had a practice put up of my tent the other day.
My boat probably isn't the best it could be but its been going fairly well, I'm just looking forward to a few days of good sailing and a bit of a social.
I'm arriving on Tuesday so I'll see everyone there.
Cheers Paul

With just over a week to go we now have 27 entries representing 17 clubs and with one or two notable names still missing we could achieve 30, it would be fantastic to see such a growth in our National championship attendance. Like "dustymoth" why don't you dust off your Moth and come and enjoy a few days of glorious competition supported by a convivial social scene supported by the excellent hospitality and well kept beers at Northampton Go on you know you want to join in! My entry forms have gone off - so that brings it to 28 and tantalisingly close to 30 - would be great to break that barrier.
It would be nice to have some other first timers turn up as well so get the entry forms filled in!

Weight isn't too much of an issue for a BM.. Ensure your foils are fair and go the right way! see you next week.
Are we over the 30 boat barrier?

Coming to my first BM nationals but can only manage Friday & Saturday (maybe arrive Thursday evening work and weather permitting). These will be training days for me and Grafitti Rat who has not had any BM company this season since moving to Girton Sailing Club. We have only had light airs in the Friday evening series racing with Streakers and Solos so not sure how we go in a blow. Any better than last in a nationals race is a bonus.

My club have put links up from the club website to National events that other club members are attending, so I wondered if there is going to be a dedicated page on the website for the nationals this year?
It would be quite good to have the results go up daily and have a daily report etc.
Just a thought.
