In response to the recent question about leaving boats at the club on the Friday night. To be frank this may prove to be difficult as I live 17 miles away from the club and John Pickford even further away. It may be possible to ask a member who lives near the club if he would be prepared to provide his telephone number so that he can be contacted to open the gates but I will not be able to clarify that until Wednesday evening. If he is prepared to offer the service then I will post his name and telephone number on Wednesday evening. The alternative would be that you leave your boats at my house and then camp or park up somewhere around Welford. There is a campsite at Dodwell on the Evesham Road between Stratford & Welford. As to eating the Four Alls pub at the entrance to the village offers a menu priced at £4,£6,£8,& £10 with a good selection of beers. The food is not award winning but at the same time is more than adequate If you do wish to take up the Welford option please let me know either by calling me on 01789750269 or by dropping me an e mail at froswick@btinternet.com Looking forward to welcoming you to Earlswood Lakes SC. The club has put up a very tasteful prize for the winner of the event. Ian It is interesting now that I am not working that I do not read the forum anywhere near as often as I used to do

Just a quick note that I intend to be at the club for 0900 hours, therefore the gates will be open A quick reminder is that the entrance can be difficult to spot, the best instructions on how to find the club and particularly the entrance is to go on to the club website Looking forward to welcoming you all to Earlswood Lakes SC Ian

Thanks to everyone at Earlswood SC for the Open on Saturday. Especially to Ian Edwards for organising the event and doing the catering! A very friendly club and a lovely lake. Could have done with a bit more wind! Hopefully we can go back again next year?
RK.
