This years Carbon project is to design and have made a carbon seat for the light wind days. The seat will be removable so not part of the boats structure! I dont think this will break any class rules but if anyone could confirm that its ok or has any opinion on my project then can you let me know here. I am fed up of kneeling in the bottom of ASBO on the real drifter days and hope the seat will mean I can walk to the Bar at the end of the day. New Boy

If it is not part of the hull, centreboard or rudder blade, I don't think there are any rules about what fixtures and fittings are made from.
There is a company called Tillet that make carbon fibre seats!

Mmm not sure what you are trying to say. Plan is to make a custom seat that fits ASBO. Also have a Carbon bottle holder on its way for the hot weather. New Boy

Carbon Pint glass holder for a quick beer between races?
And Mark- Surely your not of that old decrepit age yet?
Looking foreword to seeing you all at a few opens, and the nationals.

The Carbon bottle holder turned up and was plastic so not a good start. The Carbon thing to go on top of the mast was very good but it turns out when you bash it on the bottom of a lake it breaks. The seat, well just trying to save my poor old knees for when I do get to that age. New Boy
