Hi All, The Sailjuice Winter Series is comprised of six exciting events taking place over the winter from the end of November to February. Sadly we have not yet had any British Moth entries but we'd be delighted to have some for any or all of the events! It would also no doubt be great publicity for the class itself with famous events such as the Bloody Mary being included in the series, and individual class results being offered if enough entries from a particular class are recorded. There are also prizes up for grabs throughout the series, including the chance to win Gul Winter gear if a sailor were to enter three or more Sailjuice events by December the 20th. We look forward to seeing you there! GJW Direct SailJuice Winter Series www.sailjuiceseries.com/Mike SailRacer

I would probably be up for it next year especially as 4 events are in the Midlands - although as much fun as I am having in my Moth, I am yet to be competitive and would really need a better sail. Anyway, I don't have the money this year

British Moths have been in the Bloody Mary before - Colin Hall had his main sheet frozen to the deck - and I sailed Lappet at the Tiger Trophy a couple of years ago. I may do so again this year and maybe one other - but have to say I am watching the weather forecast for the winter closely!

I may do so again this year and maybe one other - but have to say I am watching the weather forecast for the winter closely! I'm going up to Grimwith with a couple of other Streaker sailors and a Solo sailor from Ripon. We've all pretty much said that if it is howling or snowing (or both) - all highly likely, we'll just consider it 10 quid to a good cause. Its not just sailing in the cold, its getting up there and back that is the worry.

Went but didn't sail. Forecast was 6mph, when we got there it was 30+. Rigged boat, decided against it, watched first race, had lunch, still too windy at start of second race so got changed, packed up boat, watched some of second race and went home. I was far from alone in this decision!
