I am planning to take my National 12 to the N12 Inlands meeting on 3-4 November at Pitsford Reservoir (where the Moth Nationals were). I am struggling to find a crew though as my three usual crews appear to be afraid of the cold... so I am wondering if anyone would like to crew with me. The National 12 is a two-person hiking dinghy without any spinnaker to worry about. The class is a development class so there are many designs, my boat is an older design so we won't be competing at the front, but should have some good racing with the other older boats. No experience is required, there is nothing complicated about my boat (unlike some of the modern N12 designs) and she is stable compared to some of the stories you hear about 12s. Any size/weight/age will do, My 80-year-old dad crews for me, there are crews on the circuit as young as 5. If interested please get in touch For more info see www.national12.org/www.northamptonsailingclub.org/docs/events/2012/2012%20National%2012%20NOR%20NSC.pdf

Gary doesn't like the cold either - but he has just volunteered. He has sailed N12 - has a Proctor 4A which we have struggled to get on the water this year - next year though in between Moths....will attempt to send you message now...Abby

So, who do I have to apologise to if I tip him in? Gary or you?
