Good grief! I'm on the Y&Y web site! www.yachtsandyachting.com/news/default.asp?article=156653I came 9th overall out of 22 with results of 5 (11) 10. Streakers were 1st and 3rd, with a visiting N12 splitting them. The chap that came first has won all the handicap races in the Spring series so far. I beat a couple of Streakers, the Solos, an Enterprise and some lasers so I was quite happy with my sailing. I'll put a bit more detail in my blog but in the first race the wind was moth weather but then freshened and I had difficulty keeping up in races 2 & 3. A bit of tactical naivety resulted in a poorer finish in the last race than I really deserved as well; got caught on port at a starboard rounding windward mark on the first and went from 4th to 9th rather quickly! I'm going to work out what PY I sailed to from the results and should be able to build up a better picture as I sail the moth in an informal series on Wednesday afternoons. The Streaker is still getting sailed in the Sunday Series though.

For information, after running the results through the RYA spreadsheet I sailed to the following PYs:
Race 1 (5th of 20) - 1167 (in almost perfect moth conditions) Race 2 (11th of 21) - 1199 Race 3 (10th of 16) - 1244 - deemed "poor" by the RYA spreadsheet but my mainsheet block had come off its strop and I was sheeting from the boom for the final beat, run and reach.
So I averaged 1203 but the last race skewed it a bit so 1190 is a bit nearer the mark.
I know three races isn't really enough data but I shall continue gathering info over the informal Wed afternoon series and Wed evening handicap, through the summer.
