814 "Viva la Vida" Minimum weight, long cockpit boat from Mr Skinner. Completely refurbished in 2010 and kept in a garage when not sailed. Nicely varnished topsides and cream lower chines (looks really lovely). Watertight and totally sound. Needlespar mast, P&B + Alpha sails (loose foot). Excellent aero section foils (normal pivoting rudder); and Skinner trolley (fits standard laser road base). I raced her once in 2010 at Fowey and managed to edge the Fowey salty trophy series by squeaking ahead of Roger, Mark and Graham in their smart new boats. With an updated sail and proper lowers, this boat will be highly competitive. I have purposely kept the control lines simple (I can't shrug off laser habits), so plenty of scope for personalising to your preferences. Sadly, work comittments will continue to keep me away from the open circuit. She is in excellent condition and has given me a lot of pleasure (both as a project and on the water). £875. Can be viewed in Kent (30 mins from M25), or possibly Farnham Royal (near Slough). Anyone interested, please reply to this post and I'll PM you with contact details. Martin Attachments:

Martin Sorry to hear that you do not have time to sail 814. A really nice boat and in very good condition. Too good a boat not be raced and yes she is quick. Great racing against you at Fowey...really good fun. Keep in touch and come and see us sometime at Frampton...will always be able to get you out on the water....consider yourself as "family". Roger Witts 2nd Fowey Salty Trophy 2010 !

Dear Roger, Thank you for your kind words. I really enjoyed my brief return to moths and had a lot of fun sailing 814. Thank you also for your kind offer; I do hope to sail with you again soon. Congratulations on your success at the Nationals - from your boatspeed, tactics and boat handling at Fowey, it was clear you meant business in 2010! I recall being very fortunate in the flukey breeze of that last race (but hey, that's Fowey!). Good luck this year. Kind regards Martin

It's almost time to renew my membership of the Cam SC... I'm looking for a Moth to sail both on the Cam and the Broads from Horning; is 814 still for sale?
