Hi All You will have to be fast to beat Laura on and off the water. You may be able to win a race or two but you won't stand a chance against her in the pasty eating competition!! New Boy will be there. Come join us it will be great fun and we need more people to protect the sheep from wild Bill. New Boy

As stated previously the event is open to all fellow Britsih Moth sailors and Fowey Gallants welcome is second to none ...they love our little boats.A really nice club and very friendly folk. Oh no, the mad Moths return to our little estuary! I'll sort out the large fenders for the committee boat this year, and warn all the local farmers, and the head brewer in St Austell. If you are going to Penmarlem again, get in touch early with the bloke who sorts the boat storage, ask for a group discount, but dont say I told you too, really dont. Let me know how many bodies are coming, we may need another ferry, easy to sort out. Tides this year Sat Low 11.30am, high 5.35pm Sunday High water 6.20 pm these are almost at springs, so should be fun if its light. Do you pond sailors have any idea what I am on about? It may mean no trip up the river to a good pub again, unless we go early saturday evening. We need to sort out a social event list this year, any ideas? or requests? (not involving sheep please Bill) For those of you new to Gods own Country, email me if you have any questions, or Lynn for help with accommodation (tell her I sent you) the ATs are @s (throws off the spam trollers) johnATmichaelburford.orangehome.co.uk lynnATfowey.co.uk Cant wait, John.

Almost feels International with a posting from Cornwall.... Good to hear from you John-Boy and glad you are ahead of the game by putting out the warnings. Will square up early this year with the Harbour Authority and invite them to our first Drinks/Aperitivo Evening... Not sure what this Tide thing is ?..we use Persil up here, but will give it a go! Social Programme planning is well advanced ...stand by for more details. Will give you the tally on who will be making the trip later. Roger Witts Asst Fowey"Salty Weekend"Planning Officer.

The Mayor of Fowey will this year be starting the 1st indoor Troy competition to be held at Galants sailing club. She will be there to welcome the British Moths to Fowey. The competition will take place on Sunday the 23rd of May. The British Moth travellers will be taking on our hosts from Galants in this new up and coming sport!
The British Moth will also feature on the Fowey tourist information web site sometime soon. Warning the locals and visitors of our arrival and I hope to get a few pictures on the site too.

Good work "New Boy".... What a great place for an Open or even the Nationals.... For this years Unofficial Cornish Championships we have sponsorship and help from... ...St Austell Brewery ...The Cornish Cyder Farm..."Rattler Cider" ...Fowey Tourist Information/Fowey Chamber of Commerce and not forgetting John Burford and the Officers/Members of Fowey Gallants S.C. We already figure on the T.I.web-site and will also be in the local press advertising the event. All good promotion for the Moth. Looks we will be able to muster 8/9 Moths now and 2 Honarary Moths.
