Two types of Shroud/Forestay terminations up the mast...... Tangs- St Steel plates rivetted onto Mast with a hole to secure to using a pin. "T" Terminals - Forged ends to the Shrouds/Forestay locate into a lined slot in the mast by inserting at 90 degrees and twisting to the correct position.Main advantage of these more modern fixings are less "fuss"in the hounds area and they are quickly detachable for storage/trailing. Hopefully W &W have ordered you the T Terminal option.

Hello So apart from Oli who seems keen does anyone else fancy sitting in a small boat for a long time? Think Medley would like to prove they can out sail Frampton. My money is on Frampton. New boy

Hello Guess I should start thinking about sorting out the 24hr race for those interested. Oli are you still up for it? Would be great to get a couple of boats out! Should be lots of fun with a B.B.Q and plenty to drink. Any takers? New Boy

Hi Paxton last year was the 28th of June. Not sure of 2009 dates but would expect around same time. Thought Fowey was week earlier. Ok I will need to sort dates out then. I will let you all know when I know more! Oh always keen! New Boy

The date you have all been waiting for. The Paxton 24hr race will be on the 11th, 12th of July. I would like to start collecting names of those showing interest in joining me at this event. You can all sail in your own boats and do the race as a relay or share a boat! Depending on numbers we could enter two teams. This should be a really fun weekend with camping on site and a B.B.Q. This is a charity race with the donations going to R.N.L.I New Boy

Looking forward to seeing as many as possible there this weekend. All the details are posted on the club website. If you are struggling to make a team, let me know as we may have a few club members not yet in a team. Cheers Gareth sailing secretary - Paxton Lakes SC www.paxtonlakes.org.uk

Double Trophy Triumph. The 'Mothballs' Team sailing Painted Lady won the 2011 Paxton Lakes 24 Race in aid of the RNLI. In winds ranging from no wind to a very little wind we managed an early lead over the Paxton Lakes Solo team and managed to hang on to it.SESCA Moth sailors Tim Lupton Richard Keefe Gary Tompkins and me were joined by Mark Wiltshire (thank you Mark for making the journey). We also retained the trophy for first visiting team. More anon but right now, I am just a little short of sleep......
