Just logged on for the first time Quite fancy building a wood boat Where are plans available from and how much? If I do take it further might come down to the Nationals to take a look at recent trends. It is a lot of work though!!

Welcome Andy K... Suggest that Class Secretary Abby Freeley or Treasurer Ian Edwards may be able to help with the purchase of plans. We also have Technical Support via Graham Pope - Severn Sailboats who apart from having built several Moths can offer good experienced advice..... Good Luck with your project. I am sure you will be made very welcome at Northampton for the Nationals in August if you come to have a look-see.

Hi Andy I spent a long time last summer attempting to acquire a set of plans. Mark New Boy please will you see if you can recover the set that languishes in Swindon? Once I get my stick paws on them I will be happy to pass them on. Abby

Jacquet ....have never heard a British Moth called beautiful before !!! Unique certainly, great fun certainly and at times eye-catching perhaps. Welcome all the same and good luck building your Moth. There are lots of people who can help and advise but it is those plans and line drawings that will help initially. You may have Abby Freeley,s old e-mail address so I will send her an e-mail and ask her to respond to you. As an option, apart from an all wood build, the BMBA has its own mould for an FRP Hull that can be easily decked in ply. There are details of the price of a Hull on this web-site if this option interests you. Where do you intend to sail your Moth ? Roger Witts FRAMPTON MOTHS

Hello Jacquet Sorry if I have missed your email - can you try again - I went through my Inbox yesterday and don't remember seeing it. In the meantime I will try and get a set copied for you as my stock is all gone and the Chairman (conveniently the otherside of the country from me) has the masters. Abby

Thanks for your answer. I seriously think that this boat is very nice !!! I prefer built it in plywood (I have a good experience of this technic). I live in France near Cherbourg at 20 meters of a sand beach and a sailing school. I think it will be my first spot.
Abby, I tried with the e-mail adress find on the association website. I will try again. Thanks you for your help
