One of the shrouds on my mast has become kinked over the years since I last sailed my Moth. There is at least one strand severed. I'll probably replace both shrouds and the forestay.
Can anyone recommend a rigger who can make up shrouds. I can get the length from the existing rigging.
What thickness is required, or can I just count the strands and measure the overall diameter?

When I replaced mine I used 2.5 mm wire and got sailboats to make them. The shrouds cost just over a tenner each including t-terminals and eyes.
I did however get the measurements wrong so had to order them twice, doh!

I had new shrouds made up by P&B, I took my old ones in to get the same but they still came out slightly different by less than 1mm. I also replaced the chain plates so just adjusted them back to the correct length.
I believe Graham Pope can make up shrouds too.

I ordered mine from Jimmy Green marine (www.jimmygreen.co.uk). I ordered over the internet in the evening and had them almost by return. They have a pricing structure on their website so you know exactly what you are paying for. Otherwise P+B is a good bet.
