Whitefriars now has a resident Moth. ASBO will be out on the lake this Sunday for its 1st sail for some time. I know that some of you braved the winter months out on the water. ASBO and I spent the winter tucked up under covers. With the Open season about to start it would be great to see updates here of how you are getting on at your home clubs. Look forward to hearing your stories on and off the water New Boy

ASBO and I had a great 1st day at our new home. The sun and warm weather meant i was able to get some sun on my very white legs. ASBO worked well and the small changes to the shrouds seemed to have payed off. I had been very proud of my new course slate which i had put in place on the ceterboard case using velcro pads. All was well for about 30 secs at which point i kicked it off. There were a mixture of boats out for the cup day. The winds varied from very light to strong enough to have the odd hike. Getting to know my way around the lake will take a little time with a few odd wind shadows. Its a great piece of water and i think well suited to our Moths. There was lots of interest in ASBO and maybe in time I will get a few people out on the water in her. For those of you who have not been to Whitefriars you really should come try it. You have two chances this year with the training day at the end of this month and the Open in July. Once i have settled in you can come join me as my guest. See you all soon New Boy i:-*
