MWYC are holding the 2nd Open of the year. Always a good event at a very friendly club (asked anyone who has visited us).
The club is on the outskirts of Leamington Spa & easily accessible from the M40/A46 or M6/M1 or for those in the West country the Fosse Way passes close by.
Please can you let me know if you are planning on attending.
& yes we still have THAT klaxon!!

No, at the local Premier Inn. Can you remember the name of the curry house Sam and I went to last year, it was very nice?
Richard.

MWYC open is on my list for this season but I still have to finish fixing my boat and making sure that the repairs are good before committing to anything.
So I'm a definite maybe.

Arrangements for the MWYC open are pretty much in place. The important stuff you need to know is as follows: -
Date: Sat 14 April 2012
Location: Willes Meadow Reservoir Leamington Spa. Sat Nav Users input CV31 1LF and that should get you to the allotments entrance by the traffic lights on the A425 Radford Road which leads to the Sailing Club
Entry Fee: £10.00 including competitors' lunch and hot beverages throughout the day.
Boats can be dropped off Friday Evening by prior arrangement
Timetable: All timings approximate
Club Opens 0830hrs
Breakfast Rolls from 0900hrs
Race briefing 1030hrs
Race 1 Start 1100hrs
Lunch 1230hrs
Race 2 Start 1330hrs
Race 3 Start 1500hrs
Prizes 1700hrs
All Moth sailors and their families are most welcome but unfortunately Severn Trent Water do not allow dogs on site.
There are 5 Moths in the home fleet and we are working on 100% turnout for the event. Hope you can join us!
Can we remind last year's winners to bring back/make arrangements for the return of the family silver.
The Krazy Klaxon has been tuned, we have a new Race Officer who can knit a Krazy Course, the Hairy Bakers are preparing their ingredients, the good weather has been booked again and most importantly Duncan will make sure the bar is stocked up.
See you there!!

Thanks MWYC, enjoyed the sailing, the food, the company, the tea, the beer (thanks Roger) and the curry the night before. See you next year if you manage to get your leak fixed!

A big 'thankyou' to the organisers of this event. You certainly looked after us very well in every respect. It reminded me of the old days at Evesham where everyone helped from registration, launching of dinghies, food & prizes. There is something special with the smaller clubs which is sometimes lacking with the larger ones. Keep up the good work and your future I'm sure is good.
