Good to see "NEW BOY"back on the Home Page again. Clearly the best Moth action pic[probably ever]nicely framed by Karen Collyer. He almost looks cool in those shades. John Wayling in the backgound sailing nice and flat.

Green book very useful for us novices too far away for regular Roger tutorials.
Pondering whether I should laminate a print out for the foredeck....
Already looking forward to next chapter.

Has anyone told John Wayling that Geraldine's boat is for sale? Newly, professionally, refinished? :>) Abby

Regarding the very useful extracts from the Green Book, I'd be grateful if the one on rigging would appear soon.
755 Fast One is emerging from its winter quarters this weekend to return to Whitemere and I'll need all the help I can get for 827's successor.

Apologies for taking so long to get this one finished. The text is complete but the wording can do with a little polish. However you can have it ‘as is’, and anyone else who would like a draft version by sending me an email with ‘rigging’ in the subject box and I will send you a pdf.
Remember it is a starting point; there is no definitive rig setup.
Email me at engines@obelisktechnology.co.uk - do not use the website email system if you wish a reply before next year.

Time for some bragging rights Sailing off the Solo handicap came second in the pursuit race in a fleet of 25 including many Lasers and Merlin Rockets at Earlswood Lakes SC. Proving to be an ideal BM water. If had sailed off the correct handicap would have won the race as the only boat to have passed me was a Rooster 8.1 (Laser with a bigger sail) and that was only in the last minute of the race. Yes I was unbarable! Could be a very happy hunting ground for the BM as a class Ian E

Colin Just spotted the "Beginners guide to rigging" on the web site. Thanks very much for that Colin - I could almost understand it! I messed with the rigging last season and the only thing I didn't do was move the spreaders. After reading I think they might just need to go forward a tad. Cheers Paul

There is a drawing missing under 'weather helm'. It shows the centre of effort of the sail against centre of lateral resistance. Alas I have been unable to load the Visio file onto the web page. If anybody knows how to do this please let me know. Otherwise just send me an email and I will send a pdf of it.
