I know I haven't rejoined the association yet, but is it possible to change my boat name as I've never liked what Roger Wollin called it.
"**** Or Bust" is just not refined enough I'm afraid.

Yes, you may change the name. If you send me the Boat Certificate and £5.00 cheque payable to the BMBA I will amend the certificate accordingly.
Cheers Abby

If you do not plkan sailing what about coming down to say Hi again ? I don't think I'll be at the Nationals, I was planning to but after damaging my boat I gave up on the idea. Also, I have a race officer duty on the Wednesday which I didn't change. Anyway, last time I visited the overall standard seemed to have improved massively from when I last sailed in a Nationals! I also had a speeding ticket waiting for me when I got home. I'm not sure if my boat will hold up to 5/6 days continuous sailing, I'll have to see how the repair fairs this evening. Maybe next year.

You can always drop in for a couple of days at the bargain daily enrty of £15 it really is a great event and the highlight of the Moth calender .We have opened the entry up just for people like youself,I have a large tool kit and plenty of resin ply and timber along so fixing the boat is not an issue.Come and join the fun. Thanks Graham.
I'd love to come along but I don't think I'm going to, I'll have a think over the weekend. I would really have liked to have sailed my boat a bit more this season and also be a bit more organised and prepared (like have a tent etc).
In the meantime I've sent Ian a cheque with completed form and also my boat cert for the name change so he can sort it all out when he's back off holiday.
New name will be "Ruby Tiger" providing it hasn't been used before.
Cheers Paul

It's not just lack of a tent, they are not exactly hard to come by, its a number of things. I hate camping anyway and the last couple of times I went to a Nationals I stayed in a local pub. Rutland was excellent, I spent a week in The White Horse in Empingham. I can't get there until Thursday so I probably can't get enough races in to qualify for a result in the Nationals. I want to sail 3 races (in my Streaker) at my club on the Sunday after as I'm trying to get in the top 3 in the current series and I'll be too knackered if I've sailed 3 on Saturday and then driven back to Yorkshire. etc etc etc I might turn up to say hello but probably not. I hope you all have a great time and I'll probably turn up next year. Now get off my back! ;D

Cheers Paul Back in August I sent off my membership form to Ian at the address shown on the form, I also sent my certificate for the change of boat name. My cheque was cashed on 23 Sept and I haven't had anything back yet. I've sent an email to the address shown on the membership form (it bounced back) and also to the one shown on the web site contacts page, I've sent a PM to Ian on the board here too, but not had any reply. I also tried the phone number on the form but no answer. Can one of the committee please look into this for me and just check that everything is in hand please? Sorry to bung this up here but I haven't any other way of getting in touch.

Hi Paul Sorry I am not sure what the problem here is. I will copy and paste your post in an email to the Treasurer. We have had a a handover of committee posts and I no longer have the Boat Certificates to record change of name. Will do what I can to sort it out quickly. Abby Freeley
