Great conditions, and 17 Boats at Whitefriars S.C....a fantastic turnout at a Club with no British Moths ! Visitors from SESCA[3 entrants],MWYC[2 entrants],Chippenham[4 entrants],and 8 boats from Frampton-on-Severn made up the Fleet...enjoyed 3 races in variable conditions from Force 1-3. Really good to see Mike,Steve and Mark from ChippenhamS.&C.C. joining us in their first away Open on comparitively open water. They all seemed to be going quicker thro the day...we hope to see you all at other Opens in the future. Likewise, and at last,we saw Duncan Laverty in a Moth and doing well !....only a matter of time now Duncan ! Thanks to Chris,Calvin[and Rupert Whelan for his help in setting up the Event] and ALL at Whitefriars S.C.for allowing us to sail at such a good venue.Special thanks to Calvin who tried valiantly to set good courses in the ever-changing conditions and managed to succeed !!Very special thanks must go to Class Chairman Graham Pope for loaning out a couple of Moths, and Mark Collyer and Andrew Perrott for also loaning a boat. Overall Results.. 1st - 880"Same Same"- Roger Witts - Frampton-on-SevernS.C. 2nd- 871"Scruff"- Ian Haywood - Frampton-on-SevernS.C. 3rd - 817"Painted Lady"- Richard Keefe - S.E.S.C.A. First Lady.. 5th - 70O"Tabitha Twitchit"- Laura Honey-Frampton-on-SevernS.C. What,s next ...oh yes a little matter of a gathering at Northampton S.C.on August 11-14th ! Roger Witts FRAMPTON MOTHS
