As the proud new owner of BM731 but with no boat paperwork, please can someone advise me what bits of paper I need (assuming I can get the time off work) to compete at the Moth Nationals this year? I am sure the boat has been measured in the past as it has been to the Nationals before so are its details on a data base somewhere?
Richard.

Richard A measurement certificate is required for the Nationals, a duplicate can be obtained through the association, a small fee is required as per the website. At the same time through Tina Hardyment the records secretary we could tell you the history of your boat. Any help we can give you do not hesitate to contact any member of the committee. 731 was an "Evesham" boat originally named "Pache" and built by Bob Halling. Their is a very interesting story associated with the British Moth and Evesham SC that we would be more than pleased to tell you at the Nationals. You may well wish to e mail David Eales who still sails 730, also an Evesham boat and who has tweaked and developed his boat over a number of years with consideable success. Kindest Ian E

Ian, Thanks. As I don't have the original certificate is this going to be a problem or do I just send the £5 fee for change of ownership?
Cheers Richard.

Richard The fee for the re issue of the certificate is £15.00 and includes the change of owner. The lack of the original certificate is not a particular problem thanks to the excellent records maintained by Tina. If you forward the change of owner details to me with the appropiate cheque I will put the process for a duplicate certificate to be issued in train. Ian E
