I'm now refitting my boat (new halyard, halyard sheave and cleat), the cunningham is sorted, I've bought new triple blocks for the controls and even a new hatch as the original from the 1980's perished.
I'd like to sort out the toestraps which (when I'm not using them) are always in the way.
I wondered if a single strap between centreboard case and the back of the cockpit is the way to go? I'm worried that this will be too far back to reach easily when I want to though.
Does anyone have any advice?
I have an open cockpit (ie the centreboard handle does not come through the deck.
Thanks Paul

That's how the toe strap on ONONO is configured. Works well enough, and certainly my son has no complaints. On Atlantic however, I have two straps running from the aft bulkhead, to the forward bulkhead, either side of the centreboard case. I rarely if ever use the straps forward of the case, but still prefer the double strap configuration myself.

Not had much wind lately (good result though!) but when I have had to use them I think I agree with you. I'm going to leave them where they are. Thanks Paul
