Couple of dumb q's:
1. Is there a de facto way of putting together a cunningham control? I have an R&J sail with a pulley but need a quick way of connecting the cunningham.
2. The method of securing my halyard has been useless since I first bought the boat some 14 years ago, but I have put up with it. It failed again last night in a very gusty wind and so I'd like to change it. Can some one advise me of a good method and how best to fix a cleat/whatever to the mast please?
Any ideas and photos welcome to ptp@just7.co.uk.
Thanks Paul

Hi could you send the photos to me please at the email address given above. All I really want to know is how to fix a cleat to the mast - somebody must have done it!

We recently fixed several fittings to the mast, some we rivetted & some with self-tapping screws. For the screws we drilled marginally increasing sized holes until we got the right size. seemed to work ok for a basic cleat.
