Arrangements for the MWYC open are now in place as follows: -
Date: Sat 29 March 2014
Location: Willes Meadow Reservoir Leamington Spa. Sat Nav users input CV31 1LF and that should get you to the allotments entrance by the traffic lights on the A425 Radford Road which leads to the Sailing Club
Entry Fee: £12.00 including competitors' lunch and hot beverages throughout the day.
Boats can be dropped off Friday evening and also left overnight Saturday by prior arrangement. Please contact Elaine Laverty for information.
Timetable: (All timings approximate)
Club Opens from 0830ish for 0900hrs
Breakfast Rolls from 0900hrs
Race briefing 1030hrs
Race 1 Start 1100hrs
Lunch 1230hrs
Race 2 Start 1330hrs
Race 3 Start 1500hrs
Prizes 1700hrs
All Moth sailors, their families and friends are most welcome to join us but unfortunately Severn Trent Water do not allow pets on site.
At the last count there were 7 Moths in the home fleet and we are working on a good turnout from them for this event. Hope you are free to join us!
Can we remind last year's winners to bring back/make arrangements for the return of silverware.
We look forward to seeing you there!!

Dave Dobrijevic has asked on the Facebook page, if there is any chance of borrowing a boat to do the mwyc open. I will ask at our club for him, but I think all the competitive (ish) ones will be sailing. Can anyone in the wider moth world help?

That's a shame. Good luck with 786 and I hope to see her and you sailing later in the year.

I'm planning to be there with 817. This is looking like it is going to be only my second race in Painted Lady, the first being Bloody Mary which was more of an event than a race

Sorry, this clashes with York Family History Society annual fair, as I'm on the committee attendance is mandatory :-)
Have a good one.

We might be able to arrange camping at a local B&B owned by club members (& Moth owners). Let us know if you need us to check.

It all depends when I get the car to if I'll be there so itll all be last minute, so dont worry about checking for places to camp. Chris

It will be good to see you Simon. We have put an order in for good weather & our klaxon is in fine fettle so no missing the start sequence. This weekend saw some refurbishment to our pontoon, it's now slightly longer & more buoyant so it's looking like we're all set for the first of the Somerville series. If anyone has any special requests for cakes just let me know

Hi Elaine,
Sam and I are coming down on Friday, would it be possible to drop the boat off at the club? Not sure exactly what time we will be arriving.
Cheers Richard K.
