Race report to follow, but many thanks to Roger Witt and Mark Wiltshire for driving east for Stewartby. They joined Simon Hall (also driving east), Toby Cooper, Ted Deacon, Richard Keefe, Gary and myself for a windy Open. Ted is taking over from Gary for being the last turn up and just in the nick of time. Good fun (although I retired after the first lap of the second race), nice courses, some excellent reaching.

Thanks to Stewartby and all the helpers Race Team,Rescue Boat Crews and Galley Ladies.....Best Carrot Cake ever ! Well done to Mr Cooper,Mark and Ted [who was going really well today]...excellent racing at the front especially in the first 2 races. Most of us wimped out with the onset of rain but 3 gallant warriors ventured out in Race 3 in a dying breeze. New Boy took a closer look at the lake and had a good tussle with Ted to take the Race 3 win. New Boy easily gets the helm of the day award just not sure how many more dinks he put into ASBO to keep me occupied in the next week or so. Richard Keefe was also going well with the Slim R & J sail...and yes Richard we all like the Coffin !....Just get some stickers on it and quickly ! Thanks again Stewartby ....

No dinks. It would have been a shame not to take a quick swim in such a lovely lake. I had a great day. Think I have found a good rig set up for windy days now. Really great racing. It was my 1st visit to Stewartby and met some friendly locals. I will be back. Thanks to everyone for making it a really nice day out. Loved the coffin on Richard trailer. Add a window and camping is sorted. Ready for whitefriars now. Simon if you could not mention my swim in the last race it would be nice. I was far to lazy on a windy gybe mark. Ooops. See you all soon New Boy
