Its just under two months until this seasons curtain raiser at Frampton On Severn.
This years open will be held on Saturday 30 March and as always will be an ideal place to test your early season pace and enjoy some good fleet racing.
More details such as timings, NoR and SIs will follow soon. In the mean time it would be useful to start getting an idea of how many of you can join us.
Happy sailing in 2013 and hope to see as many of you as possible in a few weeks time!
Chris

Im glad to hear that you should all be able to make it.
Although I'm looking forward to seeing a done up ASBO, Richard's new sail and Abby's new boat hopefully making their way to Frampton, i'm not so sure i'm looking forward to all the extra speed you sound like you will have!
Hopefully look forward to seeing a lot more people join us as well. Lets see if we can beat last years turn out of 13. Even better would be if we can get a better turn out than the Solos did at their Frampton open (last year they had 16).

I shouldn't worry too much. Lapwing might be faster but will still be handicapped by inept helm!

Planning on a 10.15 brief for a 10.30 start first race. Whether providing this should allow us two races in the morning and two in the afternoon with 3 to count.
A lot has been said about the dinghy show being important to advertise a healthy class. In my mind nothing says 'healthy class' more than good turn outs at opens. Hope to see plenty of moths at Frampton to kick off the season and give us a good story for Yachts and Yachting.
I suspect that not everyone checks the forum too often. Do we have an email distribution list for our membership that a bit of promo / encouragement could be sent to?

Chris, is there any chance we can drop out Moths in on Thursday on the way past (well, sort of). Abby Abby - sorry for the delay in replying to your email (busy week!). I sent you an email earlier. Basically said that I can let you in about 5.45 if you want to leave the boats. Sadly we are lock and key rather than code!

Not long to go now. Dont let the snow put you off - tropical Frampton will be, well, typically tropical.
The FOSSC 2012 Open will be 4 races with 3 to count. Registration will be open from 9.30 (gate will be open earlier). Briefing at around 10.10 with first race about 10.30. Two races in the morning and two in the afternoon.
A couple of kind volunteers will give up their time to serve us lunch -with a choice of either chilli or pasta.
Look forward to seeing you all soon to kick off the season.
