The club is also holding a Black Tie Merlin Class Dinner on the evening of the 27th October, which the British Moths have been invited along to join.. If you want to stay for this then you are all welcome, please let me know as I need to inform the club on numbers and book tables. Its a Rock & Roll theme with an old style 50's Jukebox being installed for the evening.. Limited space available at Wilder Mansions, but good B&B's close to the club and Hampton Court close by for those who are wanting to stay over and do something different on the sunday..
Any questions please contact me rjwilder at mac . com Cheers Rob

Sorry for wimping out! Got up early this morning with every intention of driving down. Looked out of the window and saw that both the car and boat were covered with a thin layer of wet snow. Made a large cup of tea and went back to bed!

No snow in Surrey! Seven boats took to the water but there was too much wind for me. I had issues with how I had re-attached the kicker and retired to sort them out and decided that was enough. I believe Rob is doing the Race Report when he has recovered from the Merlin dinner.... but 1st Andy Matthews (sailing Xmoth, just to rub it in!) 2nd Toby Cooper, 3rd Rob Wilder. After 4 races the three of them had just 5 points each and places decided on tiebreakers - very good close sailing. Nice to see Mike from Desborough sailing Mog. Gary, Colin and I completed the fleet.

Yes ... was good to see both Andy & Peter (popped down to spectate) in such fine fettle.
Very challenging gusty wind ... but made for some exicting sailing. Many thanks to the club & especially Carolyne Vines for great phot's and Videos of the event, including the latter stages of a propper moth windward capsize offwind.

Hi Pete,
Great to see one of the Matthews 'clan' back in a Moth.
The link you posted doesn't work, can you have another try please?
