Laminating Update (so not a lot of change really, picture wise) Personally I think Magenta goes nicely with everything

Rob,
How far does the lip on the transom stick out? I am just wondering if the rudder transom fittings I am planning to use will allow my rudder blade to clear the lip?
Cheers Richard.
AND
Laura,
A Khaki hull...mmm...thats a thought!

Hey "Khaki Boy" simply put spacers behind the Gudgeon and Pintle on the Transom......readily available from your freindly Chandlers in different sizes. Bet you will want of John,s new PLASTIC Rudder Blades when you see one...!

The Lip will be sanded back quite a bit such that the Allen version of the laser pintles can be fitted nicely!

Roger,
Have you got a picture of the JC plastic rudder blade? What width is it?
Richard.

Hi Rob,
I need pintles for my existing rudder not gudgeons and the seasure pintles only stick out 19mm whereas the Allen gudgeons stick out 39mm so I am wondering if my rudder blade will clear the back of the boat. If you could measure the "transom lip" on 878 I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Richard

No picture i'm afraid but have been told it is longer and slimmer and no doubt Rog will just have added one to his Christmas list!

Laminating update + picture of new foam-sandwich British Moth/Lightning rudder blade and alloy stock!
I'll give the boat a measure when I get back!
