My intention is not to "stick the boot in" but to emphasize the way that I consider an outsider will view the Website, and as "new boy" often states it is only my opinion. Everything that I highlighted is fact and can be seen by anybody browsing the site. I am well aware that time and effort are required to keep things up to date, but this should be the number one priority of the BMBA.

I think though our website needs an update it still offers a huge amount of information and pictures, with such an active forum no-one gets ignored which is top priority. All the information you could need is covered in the forum which is there for everyone to do their bit and update.

Hi As this thread was started to talk about the Nationals I thought I would bring it back to that. After talking with our Chairman I can now confirm the Saturday Open is Going to be held regardless of the number of entries. So all the visitors for the day can rest assured that there will be a great days Sailing waiting for you along with a big welcome. Remember there is lots going on this year with extra races in the Nationals this year giving the chance for 2 discards. Junior races. The Added Open on the Saturday and that's just on the water. Bills Band Freefall will entertain on Friday night after a sit down Dinner. We have the A.G.M with some interesting topics to discuss and of course the bar will be open. Lets get readyIt really is time to get those last checks on your pride and joy carried out. Make sure anything that is worn is replaced as it would be a real shame to spoil a race for the price of a shackle or a piece of string. Now lets go have fun and play firmly but nicely together. Have fun everyone New Boy

This is my penultimate posting for the Nationals. I will be away on holiday from Saturday morning and therefore if you are unable to get your entries to me before tomorrow Friday may I suggest that you keep your entry with you until you arrive at Northampton and give it to Elaine Gillingham who has kindly offerred to deal with the administration at Northampton. The late entry fee will not be charged this year for several reasons. It would however be very helpful to your committee if you intend to sail, even if it is for only one day to e mail me on before midnight on the Friday at ian.and.ann@talktalk.net to advise, I could then update most of the information on our spreadsheets. In addition if you intend to join the Chasmpionship dinner on the Friday evening please advise so that we are able to give the catering team a better estimate of numbers. Look forward to hearing from you all and thanks. Ian

Last posting before the Nationals 19 entries comprising 2 Junior 3 Ladies 14 Senior Representing 9 clubs. Some notable names still have not entered so we are very confident that we will match if not improve on last years numbers (24) Sorry to be missing the Nationals this year, my own fault but trust you have fair winds and a most enjoyable time. Thanks in advance to Elaine Gillingham for all the help she will be giving me by handling the administration at Northampton Enjoy Ian Edwards

Is anyone going to Northampton on Tuesday? I'm thinking of taking my boat over & getting it ready on Tuesday so haven't got to rush on Wednesday.

I'm sure someone is doing a full report but in brief.... Close fought with a few senior moments... 24 boats 3 Wins to Tim 4 Wins to Roger Champ now in bed snoring soundly! Mobile on the blink but I'm sure he will fill you in on Monday once draped over his desk.
Somerville Results just updated

Brilliant time with a lot of useful advice going around. I look forward to seeing some of the photos on the website. (Still not got one of "Bertie " in action!).
A very friendly bunch, maybe we can see more Moths at next years Nationals. Those that didn't turn up missed some great sailing and more.
Hopefully may see you at Desborough and Frampton later this year.
Thanks to the organisers and of course the race team.
