Well done Colin for representing the Class[again].... ...Looks like the conditions did not favour the British Moth. You managed to figure in another nice pic with a Cat in close proximity !!

No freezing fog and the sun did shine but it was a little on the breezy side with constant shifty gusts. Three too many capsizes to help the result. John Wayling did a bit better in his Phantom although he did drop it at one point. Chris Phillips was just behind having swapped his Moth for a Dart cat.
Elaine has a short video clip taken from the bridge that is worth a look if only for the overhead angle. I have asked Bill for the best way to get this on the web – I guess YouTube?

A pre-season opportunity to see the latest manifestation of the carbon mast tip project in action at the Bloody Mary this weekend. If you miss that there is a second chance at The Battle of the Classes at the London Boat Show on the 17th.
I just hope the snow lets up enough to get there and back.

Sorry everyone but I have abandoned the Bloody Mary - Hunts SC access road blocked by snow so I can't pick the boat up.
Hopefully better weather with the Battle of the Classes

The weather is looking a lot better than last weekend. A fellow Huntsman took his Contender to the Bloody Mary looked down into the cauldron that was Queen Mary reservoir, had a coffee and came home again and this guy sails Fireballs at European level. Sounded like a Moth boat breaker.
Anyone coming for the first time the view from the bridge is not to be missed.

22nd - so not too bad.
As usual hammered by the handicap number and went from second to eight by the end of lap one. Still managed to keep ahead of some fancy boats and wave the British Moth flag.

I'll post them up in a gallery on the main site when I have time, but meanwhile, some photos [including one or two of Colin] from the Battle of the Classes last weekend: Battle of the Classes
