Just seen the latest photos, very nice. I have a weeks leave starting on the 28th Jan, do you think will she be ready to test sail by then?

Happy New Year everyone! New pictures of the boat in it's sail-able condition are up, unfortunately we haven't had enough wind recently to take her out for a test-sail! All comments & questions welcome as always

Viewed the photographs of the building of the deep cockpit moth with considerable interest. What a fantastic development for the class and all praise should go to John. She looks stunning and will be very interested to hear how she sails. Any indications as to price.

Not quite yet, had hoped to get some last weekend but whilst the Moth survived unscathed, there was total carnage otherwise (at least four broken masts, lifeboat out etc). Hope everyone else had a great weekend (but not as eventful maybe )

Roger and I went down to see John yesterday and the new Moth looks lovely. Everything is pretty much finalised now so both Roger and I should get the boats by the end of the month just in time to go and spend even more money on bits at the dinghy show! We were planning to test sail the new design yesterday but the horizontal sleet put us off. Both Roger and I took photos but is was so gloomy they didn't come out particularly well plus I have now idea how to post them on this site, so you will have to come along to the Dinghy Show in March to get a glimpse of her as I believe John is planning to display her there.

Lets have the truth Richard....we wimped out and the Pub won ! It was b***** cold with heck of a wind chill. However the Boat [Blu One]looked really very good indeed. Cockpit very spacious and very clean layout. Claridge innovations in evidence too...article in the next Chrysalis. First Class job John !
Graham also came down ...just in time for the Pub..funny that ! He did his measuring bit to give the thumbs up to JC so I guess we are off ....
Richard was going for a NATO camouflage sort of colour ...twixt beige and brown it was rumoured ,but he finally settled out on a very pretty colour that will mean another outfit to start the season if he is to fully co-ordinate with the Boat Colour !

Official status of the first 2 Production Boats as of 30/01/2012... They are still in a bottle ! However Moulds were being prepared by Johns Guys while we are at the Yard and moulding should be starting this week and probably has already. Richards Dream Machine is first with mine close behind .... I hope the only time it will be behind Richards Boat ! Delivery is projected for end of February/early March...and then its fit-out time for both of us after we get them home. ....and yes we will be at Whitefriars with or without the new boats. We both have a couple of old Warhorses standing by just in case ....817 "Painted Lady" and 790 "Outsider".Both boats know their way pretty well around Whitefriars !

p.s Full account and pics in Chrysalis due out mid-ish Feb as mentioned previously.

Collected my new boat "Bobbily" SN 884 today! She looks lovely. I have to go to work first thing Sunday so I can't start fitting her out until Wednesday. Still waiting for the centreboard so first outing will probably be SESCA open at the end of April.
