good day for elaine.
she lead for most of the race, with a well sailed lightning(not me)close behind. untill the last lap when they were both over taken by a enterprise and a laser, but then both of then sailed into a hole in the wind. this allowed elaine to ghost past both of them to windward and take the win.

The Mini Moth Sail which was kindly loaned to the Club by the Association was used for the first time in anger last night. Sue sailed her boat in conditions she might ordinarily not venture out, but still had quite an exciting sail!

Having just purchased 815 from Pete and got all the paperwork for the boat, I guess I need to join the Association! Is the form dated 2008 on the website still current?
Not sailed her yet, maybe in a couple of weeks as my regular National 12 crew will be on holiday but really looking forward to it as I have never set foot in a British Moth. "Sailed" (and I use the word advisedly!) various International Moths from time to time many years ago hopefully the BM will be a little kinder!!
The Moth replaces my RS300 which is on Apollo Duck. If you know of anyone who is looking to buy one, please point them in my direction!

Martin Yes 2008 Form should be OK...it should go to Ian Edwards who can deal with the Membership and re-registering you as the new owner. Glad you are now one of us !.....Your MWYC Moth Fleet colleagues Know only too well the joys of Moth sailing and are fast learning and picking up how to make them go well. Absolutely sure you will have fun in "Whynot". Certainly nowhere near as tippy as an Int Moth Skiff or an RS3OO... Hope to see you at Open in the near future. Roger Witts

Looking forward to seeing you on the water in 'Whynot', Martin. I'm sure the 300 will sell quickly. after sailing a similar boat to yours last Saturday I almost wish I'd bought it myself.

Took you long enough to find out Duncan ! Must be one of the most suited boats for MWYC. We know of JEP/Clarke Moth in the 800,s for sale .... Has a good record and has been done up if you are intersted. .....I can see the Laverty Race Team now....double trailer pounding the highways next season with a couple of plastic fantastics loaded up ! Duncan sailed a blinder yesterday. We would have liked the opportunity to try and pass him when his mast was pointing skywards... but you have to take the opportunity when it presents itself

Come on Duncan you know you want one.. just admit it.. ;D Chairman Rob its a possibility, BUT i have got to do some boat selling before i can do any boat buying! once the supersofa is sold, i will take a lot of time do decide what boat i want next. no rushing in to things. thats how i ended up with the supersofa! duncan

No on this ocassion Duncan was just tickling my back with it (oooh errr missus!) The previous time I had a "burgee incident" with Duncan (a bit of a theme here!) was on a windy day a few years back after he had capsized and I think the bracket actually put a tiny hole in the front tank of the 12 below the waterline. Didn't realise until half an hour later when we nosedived big time. The boat was still draining in the dinghy park long after we had put it away!
I am in Norfolk at the weekend so loads of Chandlers to visit. If it is totally K'd I'll treat you to a new one. What colour do you want?

I think it's just been pushed through the bracket, haven't had a proper look. I did think it was risky going near a capsized Duncan. If you're in a chandlery I could do with a spare & will happily pay you for it when I see you (pink would look pretty)
Have a good weekend.
