I did not do that to Laura on purpose! ( or did I) Remember I only have half a rudder so steering is quite hard. Did make me laugh though!! Bill will you be sailing next Sunday? New Boy

You bet I am. Though if the current forcast for Sunday holds true (predicted F5+ westerly -- Yey! ;D ;D ;D) I might chicken out of taking Atlantic out on the water in favour of the Topper. Not so much worried about getting wet; just the thought of what Dad and Roger might do to me if I capsize and break the centreboard again after we've only just put it back in!

Congratulations to "NEW BOY" on his win in Frampton,s Canada Cup on 15.03.08 the first event in the Club Championship. A well deserved win with a 2nd,1st and DNF/R[the Chump sailed the wrong course in the 3rd race !]. Using his new Rowsell "tart" sail Mark had good speed in the light conditions.Jezza Higson also impressed in conditions that he generally dislikes.Ian Haywood with some Training Session tweaks also looked quick and notched a creditable 4 th in the second race. The morning Training Session was abandoned due to lack of wind but a good turnout of 10 Boats, but valuable time spent tweaking reaped good results in the Canada Cup that followed in the afternoon.Next Session is Sunday 22.03.09.

Hi Another great day at Tropical Frampton. Bring a sun hat and shades if you are joining us for our open. Painted Lady has a few new scars after being T boned by a Comet at the windward mark. The bacon rolls were very tasty as ever and I was rationed to just two this week. I am sure a full report will follow from our T.O.S.S.A New Boy

Fantastic fun yesterday, perfect weather. I have sunburned knees, which is pretty cool for March. First race in particular was brilliant. We'll say nothing about the dramatics on the startline for the second. Forgiven, but not forgotten

2ND Training Day and we were blessed again with Tropical conditions but this time the "Frampton Trade-Winds" blew a bit causing havoc to some.... A total of 11 Moths out and again two of our Juniors. "Orinoco" Steve Kendall,s mount has been admitted to intensive care but will recover to be better than ever methinks, but he will be a non-starter at the Open sadly. Debbie was seen perfecting her backstroke after "Panic" bucked. Lots of boat tweaking again resulting in Jezza going quickly again. In the two series races that followed the morning Pow-Wow,the first race saw "Wild Bill" Gribble sailing very well and enjoying close racing with Jezza.Further back "New Boy",Tony Latham and Ian Haywood were busy scrapping amongst themeselves. The memorable 2nd race started with Jezza taking a swipe at the whole fleet on the start line by planing down the start line causing carnage and deflecting Bills best start of the season ! After Banzai Higson had passed thro the rest of fleet eventually got going in their bruised and battered state.Start line practice will feature heavily in next weeks Training Session. As for Banzai Higson he came out of the utter chaos he caused well and was 2nd Moth, doubts about his sanity remain but no one can deny he is certainly quicker these days. He will be disciplined in the Bar next week ! Race 1 results.. Witts 2nd Higson 5th Gribble 6th Wiltshire 8th T Latham 9th Haywood 10th
Race 2 Results.... Witts 7th Banzai Higson 13th[unlucky for some ?] Wiltshire 16th T Latham 17th Gribble 18th Haywood 22nd
Last of our early season Training Days is Sunday 29.03.09. Same time,Same place....

Hi all Banzaaaaiiiiiiii!!! Jezza strikes again. His antics seem to have worked though. After a scary start in the 1st race of the day at a very Tropical Frampton he was given plenty of room in the 2nd. Jezza was 2nd around the top mark after a fantastic start. I am not sure of his finishing place but he was the 1st Moth home after a great race!! New Boy

Third and last of the early season Trainiing Days. Again we had the sunshine but no wind for the morning session. Good to see Elaine,Duncan and Sam Laverty join us from MWYC. We managed to sort out Elaines "Zig Zag"a little and all looked OK on the water.Framptons upwards of 35/40 acres being a little bigger than MWYC,s 8 acres ! Elaine is back next week for the Open. "STARS"of the race session were the Juniors Georgia Honey and Ben Gribble with Georgia being very quick in the light stuff and difficult to catch. In the 2 afternoon series races Moths[10 boats out]put in a good performance taking the first 4 places...good to see Ian Haywood back on form as "Whynot"gets gradually tweaked. In the second race Banzaiii Jezza as Mark has said hit the front of the General H,Cap and was difficult to hunt down. The wind increased for the second race[all very processional which suited the Solos and Lasers]and our top Moths were 6th and 7th. With Banzaii sailing better than he ever has "Wild Bill" is proving to be consistent as well as having lots of boat-speed... New Boy had an indifferent day ...2nd in the !st Race and a retirement in the 2nd after being mid fleet.Me thinks the new Rowsell wil be out next week !

Great to meet you all yesterday, it was good getting the rig on Zigzag set up better, shame about the helm tho, I will one day learn to sail the right course, open water like Tropical Frampton is v confusing when you normally sail on a puddle!!

The Frampton Moth talent contest was won today by Bill for putting on a fantastic gig. The birthday boy did good!!! His Guitar seems to be made out of what is left from his last centre board. Thanks for a great night out Bill. New Boy
