Boat tuning advice needed please.
I was fairly happy messing about with my old boat to make it go faster but there are a couple of other variables on 894 that make things a bit more difficult.
I couldn't point as well as a number of people at this year's nationals and don't think I have enough mast rake.
I can let the forestay off but it leaves the adjustable shrouds pretty tight. I also have a prodder which I can adjust closer or further away from the mast (not whilst sailing) but I'm not sure what effect it has.
I changed the forestay adjuster after I got the boat as the last one was on the last hole and the only way to rake the mast back was move the forestay back to the mast on the prodder.
