Hi All
As the now owner of 799, which is tucked up in the garage receiving some much needed repairs and slimming program ( sorry Toby those tubes just have to go! )
Can someone please confirm classic boat cut off number, I read somewhere that Summerville is up to and including 799, whereas the Nationals is up to 750??
Also, can I assume to qualify as a classic the hull shape must NOT be altered, tin rig, dacron sail ( this is very important as I need to get a new sail ), what about some deck mods to reduce weight?
Hope to do the circuit in 2018 Cheers JH

The classic boat number for both the Nationals and the Somerville is 799. The Hull shape should not be majorly changed. You can use whatever mast you like and the same for the sail. Before you carry out any modifications I would suggest you snd them to me at the Secretary email address to ensure they still confirm to measurement rules.
Look forward to seeing you next year on the circuit
Simon

Thank you Simon Not going to be too radical, but I will send over details when all confirmed. There is a lot redundant weight in this boat. Will the BMBA be making a show at the dinghy exhibition 2018? Also I haven't received my change of ownership cert yet! Many thanks JH
